Subject: HD111 Caucus Results
Dear Fellow Ridgefield Republicans,
Last night, Colette Kabasakalian, the RTC’s recommended candidate, was unanimously endorsed at our caucus for the Connecticut House of Representatives 111th District (HD111). In her acceptance speech, Colette said “thank you all for your overwhelming support tonight. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Together, I believe that we can create legislation that will best represent Ridgefield. Common sense bills that will support suitable housing for our seniors, our children, teachers, and first responders”.
A little background on Colette. Originally from Oceanside, NY, she holds a BS degree in Economics from SUNY Oneonta. Colette served on the Ridgefield Board of Realtors from 2018-2020, volunteered with the Salvation Army, and is a member of the Board of Directors for Something Good in the World, a non-profit alternative community school in Westchester County. She enjoys the arts, particularly van Gogh, Kandinsky and Wegman and occasionally is known to dabble in acrylic plein air painting. Her true love is spending time with family, friends and her trio of cats.
HD111 is unique in that it covers most of Ridgefield except for a small portion in the southwest corner of town. Colette is looking forward to meeting all of you on the campaign trail and listening to and addressing your concerns and issues. She will be door-knocking, attending local events like the Memorial Day Parade and Summerfest, holding special events, gatherings and meet and greet coffees. Additionally, please keep an eye out for an invitation to her kick-off event. It will be a great opportunity to meet her in person.
We appreciate your enthusiasm and thank you all for your support.
Warmest wishes,
Greg Kabasakalian
Chairman, Ridgefield Republican Town Committee
